We were smiling and laughing the whole way

I'm out on one of my daily photography walks along Klingerfjärden here in Söråker, Medelpad. My dog Lycka trots gladly next to me in her rolling leash as I keep an eye out for birds and other exciting sights around the natural surroundings and on the water.

Meet proud Trionic Veloped user Edie Littlefield Sundby. She has one lung, she’s also missing part of her liver, colon, and stomach. The California woman underwent 79 rounds of chemotherapy and four major surgeries after being diagnosed with stage 4 gall bladder cancer in 2007. Now, 69-year-old Edie is on a mission, walking from San Antonio to Florida with her trusted Trionic Veloped Trek 14:er.

Yes, you read that right. If you’re like I was when mobility became a problem for me, you wouldn’t have considered a walking aid for yourself to be a gift you’d want to give anyone. I felt guilty when my husband and I first talked about getting me a walker, although I couldn’t really say why.

The Veloped is more than a walker; it is my freedom buggy. I plan to take advantage of every day with my new Veloped.
